Purpose

The primary goal of IMSPO is to bring together students in physical oceanography and related fields of environmental fluid dynamics, atmospheric physics, biophysical interactions and ocean-atmosphere interactions to engage in scientific discussion and forge future relationships in a friendly and supportive environment.

Date and Location

IMSPO 2008 will be held at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography (SIO), University of California, San Diego on 22-24 October 2008. SIO is located in La Jolla, California, USA. All talks and breaks will take place in Hubbs Hall 4500. Breakfast and lunch each day will be at the Martin Johnson House. Dinners will be in various locations. A map of the Scripps Campus is here.

Who May Apply

We invite graduate students in physical oceanography and related fields to submit abstracts for 20 minute talks. Applicants from any country are invited to attend. Masters and doctoral students are welcome.

Registration

Abstract submission for IMSPO 2008 has closed. All attendees should check-in at the registration table during breakfast at the Martin Johnson House on the SIO campus at 0830 on Wednesday 22 October. The $5 registration fee will be due at that time.
