You can access and copy all the daily drifter data and a matlab plot file of all the drifters to date by means of FTP anonymous. The ARGOS drifter data in in ascii format and is updated daily about 0000z. The plot file is updated frequently and is called temp.met (standard matlab binary format). The internet address is 128.128.28.124, or you can now use the node address mar.whoi.edu The username is anonymous password is your name or email address The data is in the ARGOS subdirectory: cd argos Then get your data as you normally would using FTP Note: You will not be able to write in this directory, only copy. ********************************************************************** For example you could type from your terminal ftp mar.whoi.edu username anonymous password rlimeburner@whoi.edu cd argos ascii get 930512.DAT for the WHOI drifter data in ascii format get 930512.OSU for Abbott's drifter data in ascii format bin get temp.met for the recent plot file in binary format quit Good Luck.........
